This Dance is Tricky
Okay, I loved the drums and rhythm guitar so much on this song, that if it had been just me, I probably would have left the song at just that, it is so up n' kicky. Alas, I thought I might tick everybody off with just that, so I added what I think turned out to be a very nice conversation spoken by a guitar using a wah-wah pedal.
Takin’ the Telegraph
The song reminds me of taking a long-ago railroad train through a vast expanse of prairie,- a non-stop, single-minded express train- open skies, see to the horizon. They could well have named this train 'The Telegraph'.
Tang a Whang
Tang a Whang derives its title from the rhythm guitar rhythm that seems to speak the syllables 'tang-a-whang'. The song seems to radiate a kick-up-your-heels carefreeness, though a fairly sober and serious one.
Peace n' Trini
Named for my daughter, Kitrina. Quick like her, cool and very, very caszh.
Country Affair
This song has always reminded me of Eric Clapton, I think because of the very upright, regimented, correct timing of the melody, and also somewhat because of the melody and chord progression itself. No finer rock guitarist than Eric, in my opinion, by the way.
