Celebrate U

A very 'up' song, reminiscent of a celebration where you have both your partner and your other best friends, and everything is turning out just like you'd planned.

Doug Magee

I wrote this song to a musician I used to play in some bands with. He's one of the most honorable people I've ever known, and is perhaps the best bass player I've ever played with. He doesn't even know that I wrote it, as of this writing, and I'm not even sure he'd like it. But I think that the honesty and absolute deadpan of it is a salute to the side of him that can be so respectable and serious.

Jonny Jawny

Very 'up' kind of song. Profound it's not. Happy it is. Put it on and try to feel very sorry for yourself. :)

Longarm Lullaby

This is named after the series of Western books that I bought someone for Christmas. I must have written it after I spent hours searching for these books on the internet. It has a very faint country flavor, and is a very smooth, happy jaunt with a lightfooted horse. It was recorded as one continual take on top of another, on top of another. It has a surprise poem at the end written by Carrie Butler Becker.

The Ride

The ride goes on and on. Lots of movement here. And your horse is paying attention.
