“I enjoyed my cup of tea while listening to your guitar this morning. Very soothing.”

Thanks!!

Julie Anne sings jazz out west and probably has the cleanest, prettiest voice I’ve ever heard.

Axuality is not what you'd call a new style of music, but a new kind of music.

That is because the 'new' part of it is not about what it sounds like, but what it does. Given a chance, it enables you to feel more free, and think more creatively, because of the improv freedom with which it's conceived.

This is some of the better guitar playing you'll ever hear. Not because it's fast, or esoteric, but because the choice and placement of notes make it seem like this player could play and express just about anything he wants to. And it all starts feeling like the guitar is actually communicating to you, like someone talking.

This is largely because he's ad-libbing it all and has done no guitar playing but ad-libbing for the last 20 years. No songs, all ad-lib. (but it sounds like songs :)

"Listening to Brian's semi hypnotic sound, smooth transitions, and fluid syle reminds me of David Gilmore meets Carlos Santana. Two thumbs up!"

The music is highly improvised clean Rock Guitar, focusing more on timing and rhythms than most rock.

So in this aspect, it might faintly remind one of jazz, but without the esoteric musical elements.

The kicker is though, that since it’s almost all improvised, it reflects a freedom and honesty which you should find encouraging your thinking to work at a smarter level. As one fan has told me "I'm a software engineer, and I love having your music on when I write code".

My favorite 'plus' is that the guitar lines aren't the same old used ones that are heard so often. This fact should appeal to those who really like guitar or who know anything about this sort of thing.

Why do I choose to only improvise?-

Let’s pretend that you’re carrying on a conversation with a good friend. You are both improvising your talk to each other. It would be ludicrous to write a list of responses before the conversation takes place, and then read your pre-planned lines back in response to your friend’s words. You MUST ad-lib your words to carry on a sensible conversation.

For that matter, don’t you really prefer listening to a speech from someone who is NOT reading it, but is talking from the heart? This is how I look at my music. It seems more honest, even more REAL if I ad-lib it. Plus, that’s the most fun way for me.

It’s really cool and rhythmic guitar playing whose main characteristics are honesty and patience, strength, relaxedness and positiveness. The way I play the guitar really feels kind of like someone talking to you. It's sort of like listening to the talk of a casual old friend.

Axuality has not been electronically polished in order to suit the tastes of Pop Music Awards fans, but rather it has an organic, honest sense in the sound of it.

Axuality music is for people who think for themselves, who like something different, and who believe that they are going to win.

The unique style of Brian’s playing is characterized
by tone-and-time-modulation which in its character
is reminiscent of the human voice. The phrasing and musical
inflection used by Brian during improvisation is in many
ways similar to that used by human beings during
spontaneous speech.

While listening to Brian’s music one gets an impression of
floating away, and the lack of lyrical content only supports
this feeling as the music is not ridden by human chatter, while
still having the familiar qualities of the human voice delivered
by the guitar solos..

The improvisational nature of the music keeps the listener
constantly wondering about what is coming next, rather
than bored by repetitive patterns that are so prevalent
in the mainstream music.

In conclusion, it is a very fresh way of performing
and songwriting, and the compositions have an organic
character as they are literally being “grown” on the
spot by the artist.
